Welcome to the Cactus Project!
After some inspiration from the old seewhatyoushare.com project, Joint Strike Fighter information release and, continued stories on data exfiltration through P2P networks such as information on missile silos and Michelle Obama's safe house, we wanted to see what was out there.
We also wanted to be able to use what we found for additional research and for information gathering for penetration tests. We found there were a number of problems that we wanted to overcome.
This is where the Cactus Project comes in. It is a tool intended to be used for all sorts of purposes on the Gnutella bases P2P network. Some initial features include:
- User defined Interval based repeatable searches
- Repeatable, modifiable search terms
- Automatic downloading of positive search results.
- Pull from the ENTIRE Gnutella cloud
- Limit by IP range for specific customer engagements
- Monitor all cloud search terms!
