autonuke

Ops, I answered too fast and I did't notice the "single pass" condition.

Probably if you just type "quick" it uses the "zero method" but there's a chance it uses the "prng" one which does not zero the contents (it just writes random data).

So, to get DBAN to write a single stream of zeroes you have to type this at the boot prompt.

kernel.bzi initrd=initrd.gz root=/dev/ram0 init=/rc nuke="dwipe --autonuke --method zero -r 1"

the specific dban boot options to make an automatic wipe with a single round of zeros is:
nuke="dwipe --autonuke -m zero -r 1"

though I think just "quick zero" works too (I've only used the interactive mode).
